Are you an engineer with a love of words? Have you taught Computer Science formally or informally before? Want to spend some time educating a readership of 50,000/month and growing on the newest software in the market? If so, this role is for you.
Please note: This position is not a Technical Writer or Documentation Writer, you must possess engineering knowledge and the desire to educate your readership. It won’t be a good fit if you don’t have a Computer Science/Electrical Engineering degree and haven’t worked with code for 5 years.

At Crossover you will play a dynamic leadership role in our fast-paced environment. Your main focal point would be to create highly valuable content for our readers. 3 articles per week of varying lengths on emerging software, software engineering practises, and will be expected. You will work with a team of similar engineering writers and educators led by a Content Strategist.
-Produce engaging, useful and relevant software engineering content for our readers.
-Liaise with other writers and thought leaders in the IT space to collaborate on articles. .
-Research the market including reading relevant publications or blogs, and staying up to date with writing that is being produced in the industry.
-Always remain up to date, and thoroughly knowledgeable in your area of expertise.
-Undertake background research including desk based research and conducting site visits.
-Pursue and maintain knowledge of publication or syndication opportunities.
Required Skills and Experience
-Engineering Degree or Computer Science BSc.
-5+ years’ experience of content generation on online media like TechCrunch
-Personal network of media and journalism professionals.
-Strong writing skills are essential.
-Experience in the IT Software industry and deep understanding of the trade and its landscape.

-Entrepreneurial spirit, creative personality and proven experience of working in a team, experience with social media metrics, tracking results, gleaning insights from data and reporting.

Compensation is $30/hr
Location: Global (remote)
We are passionate about creating and building thought leadership in the IT space and will support your efforts to research, learn and stay up to date including funding classes, certifications, conferences, and meetings.
